Nick McFadden, #18, began racing at the age of 3 1/2 with a four-wheeler and a Yamaha PW50.
After 6 months of racing both,
he wanted to trade in the four-wheeler for full time motorcycle riding.
He was attracted to the sport at an early age
after attending Pro AMA races to watch the
Hayden Brothers compete on the asphalt and occasional dirt track events. He has competed
in year round competition since that winter of 2001 in outdoor and indoor events, on dirt and asphalt.
By the age of 8, Nick had raced to 3 National Championships in AMA Flattrack Competition in a variety
of 50cc classes.
He currently competes in 65cc and 85cc action. He races on ST, TT, 1/2 mile and
road courses, and has traveled to Wisconsin,
Michigan, Texas, Florida and throughout the Midwest
to compete.
Nick is most at home on a motorcycle and rides daily at home and spends extra time on winter and
summer breaks at mini-camps
with fellow riders in the area. He attended American Supercamp for
the first time in Spring 2006.
Nick sets goals for himself in his riding achievements and is currently learning the mechanics of his
bikes, working with the
performance technician, Tryce Welch. He practices the same discipline with
his school work, averaging a 4.0 GPA for the 2005 2006
school year.
